Reto Portmann (1973) is responsible for operations, risk management and finance at zCapital. He is a founding partner.

He gained experience in investment research, particularly in the Swiss small and mid-cap segment, while working for Bank Sarasin in Zurich and London. Afterwards he was a director of corporate finance at Bank am Bellevue. There, he was involved in more than 60 capital market transactions, amongst others IPOs, capital increases, convertible bonds and share repurchases. 

He holds an AZEK Diploma (Certified European Financial Analyst) and a degree in business administration at the University of St. Gallen (M.A. HSG). Reto Portmann is married and has two children.
