Reto Portmann (1973) is responsible for operations, risk management and finance at zCapital. He is a founding partner.

While working for Bank Sarasin in Zurich and London, he gained experience in investment research, particularly in the Swiss small- and mid-cap segment. He then became a director of corporate finance at Bank am Bellevue. During his time there, he was involved in over 60 capital market transactions, including IPOs, capital increases, convertible bonds and share repurchases. 

He holds an AZEK diploma (certified European financial analyst), a CAS in big data and AI from the University of St Gallen, and a master's degree in business administration from the University of St Gallen. Reto Portmann is married and has two children.
